Description: These four data sources combined to create the updated wetland layer:“SEWL clip”–this layer is comprised of the remaining areas of the previous Wetlands layer after the Hydric Soils, NWI 2005, and Water body polygons were removed. “Hydric Soils”— The Hydric Soils layer was downloaded from the Wetlands Map Viewer on MDEQ’s site as the ‘NWI plus Wetlands PreSettlement layer’. Per the DEQ email correspondence, that is the same as the Hydric Soils data layer. It was created from the ‘Washtenaw soils ssurgo soils’ data, so whenever the soils data was converted to digital data they pulled out the Hydric soils as a separate layer. “Water body polygons”– sourced from City of Ann Arbor GIS data“National Wetlands Inventory 2005”—sourced from MDEQ online wetlands map viewer
